New paper shows plasmalogen levels are lower in patients with bipolar disorder

Plasmalogens are critical molecules needed for optimal health and nerve and brain function. The role of plasmalogens in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s is well established. Dr. Goodenowe’s newest paper published with collaborators at the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry in Japan highlights just how important plasmalogens are to health.
