Dr. Dayan Goodenowe, PhD, will be speaking at RAADfest 2026, the annual longevity conference produced by the Coalition for Radical Life Extension, taking place September 4 to 6 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Plasmalogens, Bioengineering and Immortal Brain Health
Saturday, September 5
4:20 to 4:40 PM MST
RAADcity Stage
The brain undergoes physical changes with age, including thinning gray matter, reduced white matter connectivity, and diminished cerebral blood flow. Any comprehensive longevity program must therefore address both brain structure and function. In this session, Dr. Goodenowe presents a bioengineering approach to brain health built on three pillars: measurement, biochemistry, and targeted nutrition.
Drawing on more than three decades of neurochemistry research, Dr. Goodenowe will cover:
- How brain structure and function change across the adult lifespan, including cortical thickness, axonal density, physical connectivity, and cerebral blood flow
- The role of plasmalogens, the structural phospholipids that make up a major portion of white matter and synaptic membranes, and why levels decline with age
- How advanced NeuroMRI imaging and ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry blood analysis make brain structure and biochemistry measurable, trackable, and actionable
- A targeted nutrition framework for supporting membrane structure and function, mitochondrial function, and long-term cognitive vitality
Dr. Goodenowe will also share findings from his longitudinal NeuroMRI research program, including multi-year case data tracking changes in brain structure and biochemistry.
