Brooke’s Story

Brooke’s Story

Brooke was diagnosed with autism when she was one year old. She also had POTS and cerebral palsy from a stroke in utero. She would often moan loudly for ten hours of the day and would hit herself on the head. Her family had a hard time taking her out in public. She did not speak in full sentences, and she rarely made eye contact.

Brooke had a hard time with physical activity and could only run about five feet, with her arms locked straight behind her. After hiking a quarter mile, she would often lie down on the trail and yell while covering her ears with her hands. At age 17, she started working with Dr. Goodenowe Restorative Health, and according to her father, her improvements have been nothing short of a miracle.

We invite you to listen as Brooke’s father joins Victoria Venkatramen from the Dr. Goodenowe team and their doctor, Dr. Newman, to share Brooke’s story and their family’s experience.
